Week 40 of my Project 52 Photography Challenge: Hope
Week 40 of my Project 52 Photography Challenge: Hope
Ah, this year is flying along!.. and, I have to admit that I’ve fallen a bit behind in my Project 52 Photography Challenge. Who figured I would make it to week 40 and then have trouble keeping up? My sister came in from Australia to visit for a week and as soon as she left, being a photographer in Baltimore, I found myself in the middle of my busiest season!
I can hardly believe it is almost the end of October all ready. We are knee deep in pumpkin picking, soup making, hoodie wearing and leaf jumping… it is certainly one of my favorite times of the year. This week’s theme, for my Project 52 Photography Challenge, was “Hope”.
I have to admit, I had a *really* hard time coming up with what to photograph for this week. That was until my little boy got off of the bus and wanted to stop to pick some flowers before he came inside. He picked them right out of our tiny garden, quickly gathered them into a bouquet and exclaimed that he needed them “in case of if I get married”.
And, just like that my heart melted into a puddle. At five years old, he is already thinking about how to treat his future spouse and I am just so proud of the young man he is becoming.
While I wish that I can keep him sweet and five forever, I know that he is going to continue to grow and become a man. I can only hope that he can stay so sweet, so thoughtful and so giving. I hope he continues to grow into a man, like his father, who knows how to think of others and lift up those around him.
