Week 38 of My Project 52 Photography Challenge: Season
Week 38 of My Project 52 Photography Challenge: Season
I had a lot of fun with week 38 of my Project 52 Photography Challenge. This week’s theme was “season”. Now, incidentally, we do happen to be entering my favorite season of fall. I love the low humidity, the crisp air, the fall colors and everything else one can love about fall. Do you know what season I love more though? This season of life that I am in right now. Not what I am working towards, not what I am wishing for, not what I had in the past- but NOW.
Growing up, I heard many people say that your 20’s are the best years. And, I did have a lot of fun in my 20’s. I met my husband and we embarked on an amazing journey together, as husband and wife. It wasn’t until my 30’s though, that Simon came along and life really got interesting. Now, as Simon is getting older and so much more of his personality is shining through- it really makes life spectacular. But it is not just Simon and motherhood that makes this season of life so awesome.
For the first time in our lives, my husband and I are BOTH working in careers that we love. We both leave work feeling fulfilled by our jobs. And while we may come home tired, we come home happy and satisfied with our days. And our son has found his groove at school, and he too, comes home happy and tired. Together, we all sync together just perfectly and I can honestly say that it is a joy to wake up every morning and get started on the day’s adventure.
Here is an image of 3 Popsicle sticks that Simon made, in school one day, to represent his family. I love that Jimmy is bald. I don’t know what my 40’s and beyond will hold for us- but this right here is freaking awesome.
