Week 37 of My Project 52 Photography Challenge: White Space

Week 37?? Where is this year going? Time seems to be flying by and I can’t believe we are coming to the end of summer, already! But, alas, here we are, at week 37 of my Project 52 Photography Challenge. And, this week’s theme was “White Space”.

A lot of ideas came to mind for this… a blown out sky with just a bird or tree peeking in the frame? Perhaps an image of our cat looking out our windows, framed with white curtains? I actually spent a good amount of time, thinking about how I’d photograph this week’s theme and then this happened…

Being 5 years old now, Simon has been taking more showers- you know, because he’s not a baby anymore. (Even though he will always be my baby, but whatever) But over the last two weeks or so, he has been asking to take bubble baths, and playing like he did when he was younger. I know this isn’t the most technically perfect, or most creative and novel, image- but I felt the need to capture it. With Simon having gone off to kindergarten, and having this new-found need to do things like the “big kids”, I know my time of playing with him in the bathtub is coming to a close. I’m just going to savor as much of this “little kid” time as possible.

Did you miss last week? No worries, you can check it out on the blog!

<3 Soak up all of the little kid time you can! Speaking of, I'd like to soak up some little kid time with Simon before he's too cool for coffee (read: juice box) dates with Miss Brea.
