Week 26 of My Project 52 Photography Challenge: Magical
Welp, here we are… the official halfway point in my Project 52 Photography Challenge. This is the first time I’ve participated in a challenge like this and I won’t lie, it has certainly been a challenge! I’m SO glad I didn’t do the 365!
Week 26 of My Project 52 Photography Challenge: Magical
I had actually planned out a different image for this week… one that did not include Simon. However, when he caught his very first lightning bug (or firefly to some folks) I was instantly taken back to the magic of childhood. Some of my best memories of summer were the summer evenings that I’d spend with the kids in the neighborhood- catching lightning bugs until our parents called us in for the night. This image may not be technically perfect (it was taken at dusk and was obviously spur-of-the-moment) but it is a perfect representation of just how magical childhood can be.
Be sure to check out last week’s challenge on the blog.

July 7, 2015Aww i love this photo and I love that Simon caught his first lightning bug! They’re always my favorite sign of summer :) Congratulations on getting halfway through your 52 weeks project! I did a 365 in 2008 and it was really tough… but thankfully I stuck with it (I was also a senior in college so it was easier without a job :P) I’ve tried to do another 365 challenge a few times since with no luck. Haha :)
