Week 19 of My Project 52 Photography Challenge: Home Sweet Home
Week 19 of My Project 52 Photography Challenge: Home Sweet Home
Our house may be small, cluttered and no where near “Pinterest perfect”, but it is our home and it is where these sweet memories are made. This is our “home sweet home”.
Even before the days before Pinterest, I took a lot of pride in my home. I spent hours each week cleaning and arranging things so that my house was spotless, inviting and decorated in a way that I felt was a reflection of myself. My home was my sanctuary. It was the place where I looked forward to for calm, peace and relaxation.
Then… well, then we had Simon. Now, we may not have creative books on our cluttered-free coffee table, or nautical accents perfectly placed throughout our home; what we do have is buckets of love, fun and memories along with all of the toys, crumbs, sticky finger prints and robot parts that now decorate our home. I know that one day our home will be that spotless, clutter-free reflection of me again, and I’ll look back and miss the days when my four-year-old was rockin’ out to some jams on Daddy’s headphones, while wearing his spaceman pajamas.

May 18, 2015Nautical accents are over-rated! You know what isn’t over-rated? Genuine memories like this one. Moments spent together. Love this!

May 18, 2015Oh Simey. He’s just my favorite. I love everything about this post. I’d pick a home full of love over a pinterest-worthy home any day.
