Ahhh, I’ve been looking forward to this Sugarloaf Mountain engagement session for a LONG time. I first met with Sarah & Brandon during the summer of 2018 and I then had to wait until the fall of 2019  to finally get these two in front of my camera.  And we had so much fun! It’s going to be hard to wait until the fall of 2020 to work with these two again, but I’ll have to manage. We won’t even begin with cute little Muffin. Is it weird to get attached to other peoples’ dogs? Because that’s where we are right now. Though, in fairness, I don’t think Muffin is in her feelings with me at all!

I’d never had the opportunity to photograph at Sugarloaf Mountain before, so I was pretty excited when Sarah first proposed the idea of having their engagement session there. I did a good amount of research on what was involved with this location, but I must say, I was still not prepared for the amount of climbing we had ahead of us. Phew! It was a little embarrassing to have my hiking skills shown up by a senior multi-poo, with 5″ legs, but Muffin took no mercy on us.

Sarah & Brandon were kind enough to take me to their favorite spot, on top of the mountain. A spot where they and Muffin bring a lunch and enjoy the view. And I must say, it was breathtaking! Thank you, Sarah & Brandon for this awesome adventure. I can’t wait to do it again (with perhaps a little less rock climbing) next fall.

I learned two things on this adventure:

1. I am out of shape; and

2: When you’re alone in the dark at the bottom of a mountain, a leaf blower sounds very much like a chainsaw.
