Mike & Lexi’s Christmas Inspired Wedding | Antrim 1844
Last week, Mike & Lexi had their dream Christmas inspired wedding at the Antrim 1844 in Taneytown, MD. It was my last wedding of the season, and my goodness did the season end on a high note! I just don’t know where to begin with all of the awesome from this wedding.
Everything about Mike & Lexi’s wedding was perfect. From the weather to the flowers, every last detail was amazing. Even more so, is how perfect Lexi & Mike are for each other. They met at their favorite band’s concert a few years ago and the rest is history! I’ve known Mike for a few years now, so I was thrilled when he finally proposed to Lexi- and I was even more thrilled when they asked me to be their photographer on their big day! I had a blast with them at their engagement session and I just knew their wedding was going to be nothing short of amazing.
I’ve never been to the Antrim 1844 at Christmas and I have to say, I was blown away by the pretty.
Once inside, it kept getting prettier- starting with Lexi’s stunning winter bridal bouquet!
Lexi looked absolutely stunning.
Mike didn’t look so bad himself!
Then it was time for a non-first look! I just love how sweet these two are together!
After a few tender moments, it was time to get married!!
After the ceremony, we headed outside to catch a bit of the golden hour light and an awesome sunset behind the trees!
Once we were done outside, we headed inside for a few more of Lexi and Mike and then for family and bridal party portraits
After we finished with photos, it was time to head over to the reception. With Lexi & Mike’s original timeline, we were not sure that I was going to have time to photograph their reception details. Luckily, the staff at the Antrim 1844 is rockin’ awesome and they had everything ready to go and looking snazzy earlier in the day, and I was able to get everything photographed! And thank goodness I did, because Lexi & Mike’s details were so unique and it would’ve been heartbreaking to have not been able to photograph them. I love the Key theme!
Mike & Lexi had vegan wedding cookies!!! WINNING.
After dinner, Lexi danced with her dad and Mike with his mom
I think I may have mentioned during Lexi & Mike’s engagement session blog that they are both huge JAWS & Little Mermaid fans. So, what could be better fitting than a JAWS and Little Mermaid inspired cake topper? Nothing. That’s what.
So, I’ve been photographing weddings for a while now- and this summer was the first time I had seen someone accidentally feed themselves wedding cake, rather than their new spouse. Well folks, Mike makes two!! Maybe there is a new trend?
After the cake cutting, Mike had a special surprise for his new bride! Now, I’ve seen grooms sing to their brides before- but Mike’s performance was so tender and sweet. Lexi was blown away!
After Lexi & Mike caught their breath, we headed outside for some STUNNING night shots. It was cold and Lexi totally rocked it!
And then, well then it was time for some dancing!
Lexi and Mike could only be sent off from such an amazing wedding in a spectacular way- and so- the sparkler send off it was!
Lexi & Mike, thank you SO much for inviting Jeana and me to be part of such an important day in your lives. You two are simply perfect for each other and I can’t wait to see what life has in store for you!
