Hello, I’m Jennifer!
This is the section of my website where you get to learn a bit about me, so here it goes…
If you’ve sniffed around my Instagram, you know I’m a 30-something wedding photographer, living in Baltimore with my husband and our son, Simon. I like to think that I have a fairly well-rounded set of interests. For instance, I love to run, hike, nap and binge watch re-runs of Fraiser & The Office. I have a fairly extensive collection of hoodies and running shirts & I survive almost exclusively on black coffee, water, red wine & sarcasm.
Random fun-fact about me: I once hung out with the Violent Femmes and watched an episode of Oprah.
I knew at the age of 8 that I wanted to be a photographer when I grew up. Pretty crazy, eh? So, after taking photography classes in high school and college, I started working with a variety of other Baltimore-based photographers.
Eventually, I found my way into wedding photography and, as it turns out, being a wedding photographer is a pretty cool gig. So, in 2007 I decided to open Jennifer Smutek Photography and I now photograph weddings full time.
What can I say? I absolutely love what I do! I truly enjoy getting to know my couples & their families, and being able to document one of the most significant moments in their lives. Thanks to my profession, I’ve made a lot of great friends over the years; and let’s not forget, weddings are fun: pretty flowers, amazing jewelry, happy people and a rockin’ party! What’s not to love? Do know that I *will* bust-a-move at your wedding (though, my dance skills are debatable; I’d say I fall somewhere between Travolta and Benes.)
If you want to know more about the business side of things (you know, stuff like insurance [I have it] or digital files from your wedding [you get ’em]), you can check out the Information Section of my website. Or, even better, you can shoot me an email or give me a call. I’d love to grab a cup of coffee with you and find out more about you, the love of your life and your wedding plans!
I can’t wait to hear from you…
