Mattie & Cole | Backyard Micro Wedding

Last summer, Mattie & Cole reached out to me, about photographing their micro wedding this June. You see, these two had purchased a beautiful home together and decided to marry there, one day to the date of their closing. Their backyard overlooked a beautiful, natural scene, the perfect backdrop for a wedding. Mattie spent the year tenderly planting a native garden and she and Cole worked to make their house a home.

But of course, if the last two years have taught us anything, it’s that things don’t always go as planned. So, when their beautiful natural backdrop turned into a construction zone for a garden of houses, plans had to be shifted. Mattie & Cole were still married in their backyard… just a little to the right. And you know what? It was amazing.
