Maria & Chris | Patapsco State Park Engagement Session

It was hot and gross outside- meaning that Maria and Chris had to brave mud, closed bridges, steep hills, closed-off trails and angry wasps for their Patapsco State Park engagmenet session.  (unfortunately resulting in several bee stings for Chris) And yet, the evening was still filled with lots of laughter and a ton of love and fun. None of this surprises me though, as these two are about as meant for each other as any two people can be.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you may know that Maria is not only a former assistant of mine, but she is also my cousin. Believe it or not, Maria was actually a flower girl in my wedding… which will be 15 years ago, next month. Crazy pants; right? But now she is no longer a little girl in a tiny flower girl dress… she is all grown up and has become such an amazing person. So amazing, that you think that no one could possibly ever be good enough to call her his wife- that is, until you meet Chris.

Chris is definitely a keeper. He is funny and playful and yet, loving and tender.  And, like Maria, he is attentive and kind. Together they are everything that a couple could hope to be and I cannot wait to see where their lives take them.

In less than a week, Maria will go from donning a flower girl dress, to her wedding gown- and she will walk down the aisle and into the arms of her soulmate, and I couldn’t be happier for them.

I love how dark and moody these are, but also so joyful at the same time. Digging the tilt-shift action and I want to see more of that! :)
