Macro Photography | Ice

As you know, I’m not much of a fan for winter weather… or the snow… or the ice. But, I just can’t seem to help myself from wanting to photograph it! This morning I woke up to a large sheet of ice, melting and getting ready to slide off of my awning. It was so beautiful, that I couldn’t help but grab my camera and my trusty Nikon 60mm Micro lens. I spent about 15 minutes photographing the different ice formations and managed to get a few really neat images. And you know what, I’m glad I did. Because no sooner did I turn off my camera, did the sheet of ice smash to the ground… taking all of its beauty ¬†with it.

So while I’m sure I’m not alone in longing for some warm, sunny weather, at least we can all enjoy some of the beauty in winter…
