Elisabeth & Joel | Black Hill Regional Park Engagement Session
I first met with Elisabeth to discuss plans for her upcoming wedding to Joel, this coming November. Joel couldn’t make it to our meeting, but I hit it off with Elisabeth right away! I knew, right away, that I was going to love working with her. As you can imagine, she had nothing but amazing things to say about her fiancé! So, I was excited when their engagement session finally rolled around, and I could *finally* meet Joel! As it turns out, Joel is pretty awesome as well- even if he doesn’t like cake. (Seriously? There are people who don’t like cake? I don’t even understand how that happens)
Elisabeth & Joel | Black Hill Regional Park Engagement Session
As life would have it though, traffic put a wrinkle in our engagement session plans. Elisabeth and Joel ended up just barely making it to Black Hill Regional Park before the sunset. In fact, I think we had less than 15 minutes, before the sun dipped below the trees. I had never been to Black Hill Regional Park before, and I was ecstatic to arrive at Elisabeth’s favorite spot and find so much beauty! So, as you can imagine, the photographer in me was dying to see the beautiful light slowly slipping behind the trees. Meanwhile, the friend in me was on the edge of my seat, hoping that traffic would make way so that these two could make it to their session.
As a photographer, whenever clients are running behind, it worries me- because running behind is stressful. And, sometimes, no matter what I do to try and alleviate that stress, it lingers with people and ultimately shows up in their images. But not Elisabeth and Joel! They arrived just moments before sunset, hopped out of the car looking like they had just stepped out of a magazine, and went right into enjoying their session with each other.
And so, I’m excited to share with you Elisabeth & Joel’s Black Hill Regional Park engagement session… complete with 15 minutes of pre-sunset images! Now, I’m even more excited for their wedding!!!
