Bolton Hill Engagement Session | Melissa & Will
I must admit, I am a *wee bit* more excited than usual to post this blog, because today I get to share a session about a very special couple. Melissa happens to be my cousin, and her finance, Will, has felt like family for years. We are all SO excited for Melissa and Will’s engagement, and I am so happy that I get to participate in their big day!
Will’s alma mater is the Maryland Institute College of Art, in Bolton Hill. As such, Will and Melissa spent a good bit of their early dating years in the historic Bolton Hill area and they really wanted to capture that in their session. We started at MICA, where Will wanted to get a photo at the beautiful marble staircase in MICA’s Main Building.
Afterwards, we walked just down the street to the church where Melissa and Will will be married in just a few short months! We were able to get these really sweet shots out front of the Church and its amazing architecture.
The door was so gorgeous, that I just had to get a ring shot out front!
Then, we made our way through the historic neighborhood of Bolton Hill. You can tell that these two felt right at home here…
While on our walk, we decided to head over to Will’s old college apartment, to grab a few sweet photos on the stairs.
I just LOVE Melissa’s ring. Great job, Will!
Will wanted to head over to one of the LOVE murals that are found around Baltimore. However, when we arrived, we were sad to find a giant dumpster right smack in front of the mural. It took a bit of creative thinking, but we still managed to get the shot! Dumpster? What dumpster?
We knew that sunset was fast approaching, and we made the last minute decision to head over to Federal Hill to see if we could catch the skyline with the beautiful light. We made it just in time!
Melissa and Will, congratulations on your engagement! I can’t wait to photograph your wedding this December and to *finally* officially welcome Will into our crazy family.
