A Special Newborn Session… with Twins!!!

I will start this post off by saying that I have never photographed twin newborns before. However, having photographed babies, Everett and Hazel’s, parent’s engagement, wedding and “Rock the Dress” session, I just couldn’t wait to photograph these two! As expected, twins are much more challenging than a single baby, but certainly twice the snuggles and sweetness!

Ciera and John’s Engagement Session…

I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to finally be able to shoot and post this session. I’ve known Ciera since she was a little girl and I am totally stoked to be photographing her wedding this coming fall! She and John make such a sweet couple and you just know these two are meant for each other.

We started the session at Federal Hill on a blistery morning in November, just in time to catch the sunrise…

Aren’t they adorable????? I can’t wait until September!

Brea and Steve’s Maui, Hawaii Destination Wedding. Aloha!!

Well folks, here it is!.. the long awaited, much anticipated, Maui wedding blog post! Let me just start by saying what an incredible honor it was to be flown half way across the world to photograph Brea and Steve’s Hawaii wedding. While this was not my first destination wedding, this was the first that took me a few time zones and an ocean away. I am so grateful to have such an awesome job and amazing clients that have allowed these experiences in my life. What is interesting though, is that regardless of whether the wedding takes place on a paradise island or in a small hometown church, being there when two people promise to spend the rest of their lives together, well- what can I say?.. Wow, I have a really cool job.

We started the day at the Makena Golf and Beach Resort in Makena Maui, Hawaii…

First, I met up with Brea and her mom while Brea got ready…

I just love being there to witness these touching moments…

I then headed down the hall to hang out with Steve and his dad for a few…

We then headed down stairs where Brea and Steve had a very sweet “first look”…

The Makena Beach and Golf resort has fantastic grounds to work with. Brea, Steve and I stole a few moments to “work the grounds” and get this series of shots…

Then, it was off to the “secret beach” where Brea and Steve were married…

After the ceremony, we took advantage of the great Maui scenery and the early evening light…

Brea’s bouquet was adorned by her late Uncle’s dog tag…

Stephanie and Jake’s Canton Engagement Session

Stephanie and Jake have settled themselves into the Canton area, so it seemed fitting that we meet up at a local, water-front park in Canton for their engagement session. We had a lot of fun kicking it around town and I can’t wait until the wedding in May!

Shannon and John’s Blue Ridge Summit Wedding

I have known Shannon for many, many years. In fact, she stood as a bridesmaid in my wedding! So, I can’t tell you what an unbelievable honor it was to photograph Shannon and John’s wedding at The Lodge at Blue Ridge Summit in PA. It was quite the drive to Pennsylvania… my ears were even popping on the way up the summit, but it was totally worth it!

Krista and Ian’s Wedding at Overhills Mansion

Krista and Ian were married last month at the Overhills Mansion in Baltimore, Maryland. I had recently had the pleasure of working with Krista and Ian on their engagement session, so I *thought* I knew what a good time I was going to have at their wedding and reception. Krista and Ian had over 200 loving friends and family with them for their big day, and let me tell you, these folks know how to have a good time.

My day with Krista started at the Overhills Mansion while she and her girls got ready…

Then, we stepped out to the garden for a very intimate ceremony…

Okay, check this out… Until this very moment, Krista had not seen her engagement ring. Go ahead, re-read that sentence. Are you back? Okay, yes, Ian had the ring made and it was a surprise for her on her wedding day. He actually met Krista halfway down the isle to give her the ring…
