Well folks, here it is!.. the long awaited, much anticipated, Maui wedding blog post! Let me just start by saying what an incredible honor it was to be flown half way across the world to photograph Brea and Steve’s Hawaii wedding. While this was not my first destination wedding, this was the first that took me a few time zones and an ocean away. I am so grateful to have such an awesome job and amazing clients that have allowed these experiences in my life. What is interesting though, is that regardless of whether the wedding takes place on a paradise island or in a small hometown church, being there when two people promise to spend the rest of their lives together, well- what can I say?.. Wow, I have a really cool job.
We started the day at the Makena Golf and Beach Resort in Makena Maui, Hawaii…

First, I met up with Brea and her mom while Brea got ready…
I just love being there to witness these touching moments…
I then headed down the hall to hang out with Steve and his dad for a few…
We then headed down stairs where Brea and Steve had a very sweet “first look”…
The Makena Beach and Golf resort has fantastic grounds to work with. Brea, Steve and I stole a few moments to “work the grounds” and get this series of shots…
Then, it was off to the “secret beach” where Brea and Steve were married…
After the ceremony, we took advantage of the great Maui scenery and the early evening light…
Brea’s bouquet was adorned by her late Uncle’s dog tag…
