So, as you know, I am out on maternity leave. Since I am not photographing much these days, I thought I would pull one from the archives.
Emily and Gary are a fantastic couple that hired me to photograph their August 2009 wedding. In addition to their wedding, we also did an engagement session and an after wedding ‘trash the dress’ session. Now, granted, we didn’t do too much trashing of Emily’s dress- we did, however, get some rockin’ shots of this awesome couple on Gary’s scooter.
Here we are in Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis Maryland…

Thank you Emily and Gary for inviting me to work with you, not once… not twice… but three times! You two are absolutely fantastic to work with!

Two weeks ago, I was lucky enough to be able to photograph Nickie and Brian’s beautiful wedding at the Vandiver Inn in Havre de Grace, Maryland. It was my last wedding of my “pre-baby” wedding season, and I can’t think of a better way to finish off this summer’s wedding sessions!
The day started at the Vandiver with Nickie and her girls getting ready. Chasi, the coordinator at the Vandiver, did a fabulous job of making sure that Brian and Nickie’s day went off without a hitch! (She was also super helpful with assisting the very pregnant photographer throughout the evening- thank you Chasi!)
Getting Ready…

Nickie made such a beautiful bride!

Amanda from Amanda’s Florist did an absolutely fabulous job with the flowers for the day. How fantastic is Nickie’s bouquet?

Brian and Nickie had a small bridal party…

Brian and Nickie ended the evening with a night out on the town!

Congrats Nickie and Brian! Thanks again for having me photograph your big day.

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Christie and Jared’s beautiful wedding at Swan Harbor Farm. Swan Harbor is one of my favorite venues and Christie and Jared definitely rank as one of my favorite couples! It was a fantastic day for an outdoor wedding and we started the day getting ready at Christie’s parent’s house…

Then it was off to Swan Harbor Farm. Christie and Jared decided to see each other before the ceremony, which left us tons of time to have some fun taking pictures…

What an awesome group!

Christie, Jared and I took the golf cart down to the pier to grab these quick shots…

Christie looked fantastic when she hit the aisle!

Gotta love kids at weddings!

Sorry Jared- the mullet makes the blog…

Thank you Christie and Jared for inviting me to share your big day with you!

A few weeks ago I had the fabulous opportunity to photograph Kathryn and Chris’ beautiful wedding at the Piney Branch Golf Club in Hampstead. The 3 of us (well, 4 if you include their amazingly well trained dog, Melvin) had a blast at their engagement shoot back in November, and I just knew the wedding would be a blast too!
The day started off at the Marriott Hotel in Hunt Valley. I had a great time just hanging out with Kat and her girls getting ready for the big day…

Kathryn and Chris have the best taste in footwear… ever… (keep an eye out for Chris’ shoes later)

Hmmmm, can you guess which ones are Chris’ shoes?..

It may have been a wee-bit windy, but it was a fabulous day no less. Kathryn and Chris were so great to work with and I’m so glad that I was invited to be a part of their big day.

I had the pleasure of finally photographing Cara and Jon’s beautiful wedding at the Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City. Cara and Jon booked me well over a year ago, and since their engagement session, I have just been dying to photograph these two again!
Cara is such a sweet person- add to that her beauty and the camera is just drawn to her! We started the day getting ready at Turf Valley and I had a blast hanging out with Cara and her girls…

Baltimore’s Up-Do’s for I Do’s did Cara’s hair- it turned out fantastic!

Jon and his crew were also getting ready at the hotel..

These two were adorable!

Turf Valley did a great job executing Cara’s vision for her big day and Kristina from Kristina Lynn Weddings and Events made sure that every detail was perfect. Kristina was great to work with and made sure that the day went off without a hitch… (well, except the one “hitch” that we were all there for!)

Cara and Jon rented a photo booth from Party Picturebooth. It was such a great hit and everyone had a blast taking photos in the booth. At the end of the night I stole this quick shot of Cara and Jon in the booth…

Cara and Jon- thank you so much for inviting me to share your big day with you. I had a blast hanging out with you and your family!

Last weekend was a ton of fun- I have been affectionately referring to it as “engagement session marathon weekend”! I ended the marathon with Kelly and Kevin on Sunday morning at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis, MD. I had somehow managed to miss all of the rain on Saturday, but Sunday morning presented a little challenge. As soon as we pulled into the park the rain started.
Luckily Kelly and Kevin were not gonna let a little rain stand in their way. We started with a few ‘warm up’ shots underneath some cover and then once the rain let up, we braved the mud and drizzle! It was totally worth it though…

How adorable are these two?????

Tis the season for engagement sessions! Angela and Justin booked me back in October and since then, I’ve been dying to start working with them. -and with good reason; these two are not only extremely photogenic, but fantastically fun to work with. I can’t wait until the wedding!
We decided to ignore the weather man (really, is he ever right?) and head out early on Saturday. We started out in Federal Hill and then made our way through the Mt. Vernon Cultural District in downtown Baltimore. Luck was on our side and the rain stayed away! We hit a few of my favorite spots and made a couple new favorites along the way.
enjoy…

I can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday morning! Thanks, Angela and Justin, for inviting me to photograph your engagement session!

This past weekend was jam-packed with engagement sessions! Even though the weather man called for a wet weekend, we managed to pull each session off with minimal sogginess.
Amy and Jon met with me a little early in hopes of beating the rain- and it worked. It seemed the moment we were done the rain came! We had a super-fun session in Fells Point and the surrounding area. This is one adventurous couple; they were up for all of my crazy ideas… enjoy!

Thanks Amy and Jon for a super-fun afternoon!

So this past Sunday, I had the pleasure of photographing Evan and Caitlin’s engagement session. They chose Goucher College as their location, and as I have never photographed there before, I was totally up for the challenge. What a great location for an engagement session- good choice guys!
Before we left for Goucher, we took Evan and Caitlin’s lab to the local park for a few quick shots. She did such a great job, even in all her excitement she allowed me to grab this cool shot of the three of them…

Then it was off to Goucher. The campus had so many neat elements to work with and Caitlin and Evan were such troopers! It was freezing so early in the morning, but they didn’t let that stop them- they were up for it all!

Thanks guys! I can’t wait until October!

Spring has sprung and so have the engagement sessions! I am so glad that the weather has finally turned and that the trees are in bloom. Goodbye winter! I kicked off this year’s spring engagements with a fun day in Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis, MD with Nickie and Brian.
These two were troopers and met me nice and early to get the best light. We spent the morning romping around the park- Here are a few of my personal favorites from yesterday’s session…

Thank you Nickie and Brian for spending the morning with me yesterday… I can’t wait until your June wedding!
